Last Night…

We went to see Lucy, Kayleigh and Adam in the Star In Their Eyes show at the Abbey theatre, or whatever it’s called now. It was ace. It’s a really brilliant little show, each artist records a little ‘promo’ video which is played before they come on and then you get to vote and everything. Although not with the little electronic things, just on a piece of paper. Kayleigh won with her brilliant performance of Mirena and The Diamonds’ Hollywood Infected. Which is always a bonus. Lucy was brilliant as Amy Winehouse, complete with beehive and tattoos. To me the star of the show is Adam, he wasnt an act but was pretty much a pivotal role in each performance and just looks like he’s having so much fun! From Tony in the story of Copacabana to coming on far to early when Kayleigh had to do her’s again because she won. He’s just brilliant!

Then we went to the tav and this whole Fever thing was brought up, it was apparent from the general buzz that everyone in the whole of Nuneaton was going to be there. So we decided that as the rumour had it the queue was half an hour long we could go to asda, buy snacks and drink. Turned out that the idea of buying drink wasnt one shared by everyone else. So i bought a bottle of apple sours shot stuff and proceeded to hand it around, i still ended up drinking atleast 1/4 of it though.

So Fever, well firstly there was the queue. Which was definitely better than the actually experience of getting in there. The place itself hasn’t changed much since it was rileys, the layout is the same. It’s just a giant room with a light up dance floor and another room that played noise. The big room is reflex, the other room is like a substandard Liquid. High praise indeed! I stayed in there for about as long as i’d queued to get into it, and then we left. Lovely. Probably the best way to describe it is like this; imagine you’re in a sauna that’s full of people you hate, you cant really move and Grease mega-mix is playing really loud. Got that image? That’s Fever! After that me and Ben left and we got pizza from Flames and walked home. Lovely!

This post is for Dan Miller, who is one of my heroes!
